Panasonic and Mustek have announced a new business partnership, effective from 1 February 2017.
The new partnership will enable Mustek to begin distributing a wide range of Panasonic products, including scanners, toughbooks and high definition visual communications (HDVC) video conferencing solutions.
“We are excited to be working with a well-established distributor like Mustek, which is also recognised as a proudly South African company,” says Martin Kruger, channel sales manager at Panasonic SA.
Panasonic has been developing innovative electronics technology for the business market for almost 100 years and today provides a wide variety of products, systems, and services. The company prides itself on placing people first with its goal of helping individual customers to realise they deserve better.
For the past 30 years, Mustek has combined its own local assembly capabilities with a multinational product portfolio, thereby affording customers the option of either its own Mecer brand of computing equipment or a broad range of top-tier ICT brands, which address every level of the technology stack.
Kirk Toweel, Mustek product manager, comments: “We are thrilled to be teaming up with a brand like Panasonic, which has all the qualities we look for in such a partnership, including product excellence, innovative technology and business longevity. We look forward to working together for many years to come.”
Mustek will distribute Panasonic products which will include the company’s range of document scanners, encompassing everything from compact models for small offices to large-capacity devices for the enterprise.
Mustek will also begin distributing Panasonic’s Toughbook mobile computers, which are designed to be rugged and robust and are capable of withstanding drops, dust, grime, extreme temperature, humidity and water. This makes them ideal for challenging work environments, such as the automotive, emergency services, construction, mining, defence, and healthcare sectors.
The organisation will also be distributing Panasonic’s HDVC system, a new visual communication tool that is very different from other videoconferencing systems. It delivers high image and sound quality, along with a stable connection for both intranet and the Internet, enabling easy, comfortable communication between remote locations.
“Panasonic are pleased to have signed this deal with Mustek, which has a strong reputation in the South African market. Our products will no doubt add significant value to their range of solutions and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with them,” concludes Kruger.
