Home energy solutions provider and PSG subsidiary, Energy Partners Home Solutions, has introduced its newly established Gauteng Division at the 2017 Homemakers Expo in Johannesburg this week.
Energy Partners Home Solutions launched in Cape Town last year and has a proven record of reducing electricity costs for homeowners. It has fast become one of the leading residential and small commercial energy solutions company in the greater Western Cape and has already started installation at a few houses in the Gauteng area.
The company provides a full range of solar and energy saving solutions for the consumer market, including the Energy Partners Home Solutions ICON system, which incorporates energy efficiency, renewable generation and backup solutions to reduce a home’s reliance on the grid by more than 50% and often up to 90%.
“Our solution enables home owners to take control of their energy, by supplying a set of reliable products that form a fully integrated home energy solution which combines lighting, water heating and renewable energy all effortlessly managed and monitored from a simple app on your smartphone” says Cala van der Westhuizen, head of sales and marketing for Energy Partners Home Solutions.
“South Africa is one of the countries with the highest potential for solar energy generation in the world, with approximately 2 500 hours of sunshine per year. Yet there is still a relatively small percentage of the country’s residents who are actually taking advantage of this low-cost alternative.”
James Chapman, who heads up the Gauteng division of Energy Partners Home Solutions, comments: “We are delighted to launch Energy Partners Home Solutions in Gauteng. Our focus is simple, to bring cutting edge solutions to people’s homes and small businesses to help them become energy independent.
“With the backing of a highly experienced team of engineers and more than six years of achieving energy savings in the billions of Rands in the commercial sector, the natural next step was to bring these expertise and knowledge to the smaller consumer in South Africa who effectively pay the highest premium per unit of electricity purchased.”
In addition to their range of products and solutions, Energy Partners Home Solutions also offers various funding options for homeowners looking to reduce their energy spend. “One of the only challenges that keep most homeowners from implementing smart energy solutions is the price. Any quality home solar solution is still prohibitively expensive for most consumers, with the cost ranging between R800 000 and R200 000,” Chapman says.
He states that, in response, Energy Partners Home Solutions developed financing options for their solutions and registered as an approved credit provider under the National Credit Act (NCA).
“Energy Partners has also developed a long term lease model, where you can simply lease the system instead of having to pay for it upfront. Clients that qualify under certain criteria will also be eligible for this Performance Lease Agreement (PLA) which can have you go solar a minimal capital expenditure.”
Chapman states that there has already been significant interest in the Gauteng region for solutions from Energy Partners Home Solutions. “There is also a lot of scope for Energy Partners Home Solutions to provide services to small and medium enterprises and the Energy Partners Commercial Solar division is already in the initial stages of a large solar installation in Pretoria.
“Homeowners with a monthly electricity account of R1 500 or more, who want to save money by being energy efficient and environmentally responsible, can visit the Energy Partners Home Solutions Stand at the 2017 Homemakers Expo from 23 to 26 February 2017 at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg,” Chapman says.
