For the second year running, ICT services and solutions provider DRS, a Cognosec company, has been named Intel’s Revenue Partner of the Year, sub-Saharan Africa 2016. In addition, the company scooped the NET New Business Partner of the Year Award for the region.
Held at Copper Bar in Bryanston, the Intel Partner Awards acknowledge outstanding achievements by Intel partners and distributors in sub-Saharan Africa.
The award categories included Distributor of the Year, Revenue Partner of the Year, Growth Partner of the Year, Deal of the Year, Technical Guru of the Year, Sales Person of the Year, Commercial Partner of the Year, NET New Business Partner of the Year, and Enterprise Partner of the Year.
“We are delighted to be recognised as an Intel Award winner in these two categories,” says Robert Brown, CEO of DRS. “This award illustrates our success in the sub-Saharan region, and in delivering Intel’s best-in-class security solutions to our clients to meet all their security needs.”
He adds that winners are selected based on several criteria: Commitment to meeting customers’ information security needs, their market impact and their exemplary use of Intel solutions among their clients.
“This is the second year DRS has been recognised as Revenue Partner of the Year,” adds Brown. “Security is top of mind for every CIO these days, and is becoming increasingly important as more and more devices become connected. DRS is committed to providing solutions to our customers to help them survive in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape. These awards recognise that commitment.”
Intel South Africa’s Trevor Coetzee says DRS has continuously demonstrated the ability to deliver on the Intel Security strategy. “DRS have clearly established themselves as a strong security provider to their customers and the market in general. DRS are an integral partner who we are proud to be associated with. Congratulations on the awards. We have confidence that 2017 will be even more successful.”
“It is a huge honour for us to receive these awards and we are very proud of being the Intel partner in South Africa to receive both the Revenue Partner of the Year, and NET New Business Partner of the Year awards,” Brown says.
“DRS will continue to deliver innovative security solutions to all our clients, to help protect information assets, data and networks from the plethora of complex and sophisticated threats we see today,” he concludes.
