US-based portable power and solar manufacturer Goal Zero will arrive in South Africa in May 2017 via local distributor Wintec Solutions.
The first Goal Zero products were developed to fulfil the needs of villagers in the DRC through humanitarian initiatives. The brand now houses a range of compact, mid-size and heavy duty battery and solar solutions providing power to smartphones, laptops, TVs, fridges and more.
The appointment of Wintec Solutions as the sub-Saharan Africa partner was confirmed in March.
Wintec Solutions specialises in distributing high end outdoor & sporting brands to retail & B2B channels in sub Saharan Africa with expertise in managing portable power and travel brands.
An announcement on retail partners stocking the Goal Zero range will be made in April.
Wintec owner Rene Winter has expressed his enthusiasm in this new partnership. “We believe Wintec are the perfect fit for Goal Zero. Our years of experience in distributing solar and portable product in Africa gives the brand the perfect shot of becoming the South African consumers’ go-to power brand.
“We are confident that Goal Zero will be a success in our territory. Our consumers are smart and nature loving, and Goal Zero will fill the gaps in the current market perfectly.”
