“Let’s go Green” is the theme this holiday at Sci-Bono Discovery Centre as youngsters get to explore interesting ways to look after the environment, from investigating greenhouse gases and experimenting with renewable energy resources to building useful gadgets out of recyclable materials.
During the holiday programme, kids will learn about science, engineering technology and more.
There will be workshops on being eco-wise, dung power, hydropower, harnessing wind, pop-pop boats and building a terrarium, as well as spectacular science shows daily.
For those that have any energy left after the full-day programme, there are still more than 350 interactive science exhibits to explore.
Parents are encouraged to get their kids there early to book their spot since all workshops are offered on a first come first serve basis.
Many of the sessions are free but some are offered at a minimal cost (to buy the materials used).
The full programme is available on the Sci-Bono website (www.sci-bono.co.za).
The programme is presented daily from 10:00am to 15:30pm from 1 to 17 April 2017.
