Internet Solutions Ghana, one of Internet Solutions’ local operations in Africa, won the Internet Service Provider of the Year Award at the 2017 Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA) held in the capital Accra.
Regional managing director, Yvette Adounvo Atekpe, was recognised as one of 2017’s top 25 Ghana ICT Leaders. Not open for entry or nomination, this accolade is presented by GITTA for service to the industry.
One of only five women on the list, Atekpe was named with heavyweights such as the Minister of Communications, the Board Chairman of the National Communications Authority, and the Managing Directors of Airtel, MTN, Tigo, and Vodafone.
“It is a tremendous honour to be recognised by the ICT industry at such an auspicious event,” says Atekpe. “We are encouraged that the industry appreciates the value of what we do, because we’ve always seen our work as more than just about making profit. In everything we do, we strive to make a difference in the communities we serve.”
Now in its seventh year, GITTA is the only platform that recognises customer service, innovation and excellence in the Ghanaian ICT Industry.
Atekpe says that Internet Solutions Ghana impressed judges with its client-centric enterprise solutions which include wholesale and cloud services, as well as its fibre-to-the-building offering.
“We believe Internet Solutions Ghana stands out because of our commitment to customer engagement, the level of support we provide, and our innovative service portfolio,” says Atekpe.
