Triple-digit growth for enterprise DevOps leader

XebiaLabs, a leader in DevOps and Continuous Delivery software, represented in South Africa by 9th BIT Consulting, has completed 2016 with triple-digit growth.
XebiaLabs is the only Enterprise DevOps vendor focused one hundred percent on Continuous Delivery, with its Application Release Automation (ARA) tools, helping large companies to accelerate software delivery and reduce risk.
According to XebiaLabs CEO, Derek Langone, “In 2016, there was a meaningful increase in the number of large enterprises that recognised the need for – and the competitive advantage of – accelerated software delivery.
“As software has become the primary way that enterprises interact with their customers, the need to deliver innovation, value and high quality user experience has become fundamental to a company’s potential to compete in its respective market. XebiaLabs lives at this convergence of software and business.”
“The Application Release Automation capabilities we offer the enterprise is the cornerstone of successful DevOps endeavours,” notes Barry de Waal, chief executive: strategy and sales at 9th BIT Consulting. “9th BIT Consulting provides enterprises with the visibility, automation and control they need to deliver software faster and with less risk, empowering them to meet the increasing demand for accelerated and more reliable software releases.”
Application Release Automation has emerged as a central component to successful DevOps implementations across the enterprise, enabling companies to automate, analyse and control the entire software delivery process across widely varied IT landscapes. ARA helps companies ensure that high quality software is always ready for delivery into fast-paced markets.
Throughout 2016, XebiaLabs introduced a string of new product releases that helped drive the company’s growth. Key product advancements include a customisable reporting and analytics dashboard that delivers insights about the ARA process, such as release progress, potential risk and compliance status.
It also delivered enhanced productivity features for teams doing large-scale deployments, new DevOps tool integrations for Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Docker, Ansible and others, advanced release orchestration capabilities, including powerful dependency management, multi-functional Release Folders and flexible Release Tags, and automatic provisioning of cloud environments as part of deployment.
Recognising the lead the company has created in the market, top industry analysts recognised XebiaLabs as a front runner in the Continuous Delivery/ARA space in 2016. Gartner placed XebiaLabs in the Leaders Quadrant in its Magic Quadrant for Application Release Automation, while Forrester ranked the company highest in the Strategy category in its Forrester Wave: Application Release Automation, Q3 2016 report.
Despite the growth in the DevOps industry to date, De Waal says that the best is yet to come. “Tight economic conditions and increased competition for a smaller piece of the pie are forcing companies to optimise at every level, including software development and delivery. 9th BIT is in prime position with the world’s best toolset and skills to assist in making software development and deployment a strong corporate growth driver instead of an obstacle.”
