Swedish defence and security company Saab has chosen to deploy IFS Global Extension while investing in additional user licenses in South Africa.
Saab has chosen to implement the IFS Global Extension solution to streamline the process of complying with local laws and regulations.
IFS Global Extension enables Saab to manage legal compliance centrally, within the enterprise software suite IFS Applications, without local customisations. This will reduce time-consuming administrative tasks, costs and risks.
“Global expansion and export control are two vitally important areas for Saab,” says Saab CIO Mats Hultin. “Using the IFS Global Extension will make it possible for us to continue to grow internationally and at the same time manage local financial compliance efficiently.”
In addition to the implementation of IFS Global Extension, Saab recently went live with 600 new IFS Applications 9 users at Saab in South Africa, bringing the total number of IFS users within the global Saab group to more than 13 000.
Glenn Arnesen, CEO of IFS in Scandinavia, added: “We are excited to facilitate Saab’s global growth using the recently launched IFS Global Extension. The successful implementation of the IFS solution at Saab’s South African operations is a great example of how we at IFS continue to develop the global relationship with Saab that started over 20 years ago.”
