Mustek has partnered with AMD to offer its range of CPU and APU products.
“While AMD has been in the market for a number of years, it has recently come back with a bang and has been making waves thanks to its innovative offering, particularly in gaming communities,” says Juan Paul Gough, solutions architect at Mustek.

The gaming phenomenon in South Africa continues to grow, with Serious About Games (SAG) reporting that the industry increased its revenue from R29,7-million in 2014 to R100-million in 2016.

Against this backdrop, there has been a significant increase in uptake of AMD products locally, particularly the 7th generation AMD A-Series.

Mustek will focus specifically on the entry-level APU and mid- to high-end mainstream CPU portfolio of AMD’s offering. Gough notes that these processors target both enthusiast gaming and professional computing needs with an extensive line-up to choose from.

“We are extremely excited to be able to offer AMD products to our clients, providing them with a far broader range of processing options. For good reason AMD is proving very popular in South Africa at the moment and we expect the brand’s products to continue to gain traction,” Gough says.
