Microsoft's first "Patch Tuesday" of the new year will see it issue eight new patches for Windows, Office and Visual Studio.

Microsoft traditionally releases patches for vulnerabilities on the second Tuesday of every month – now universally known by system administrators as "Patch Tuesday".
On its website, the firm says there will be three updates for Windows and three for Office. These vulnerabilities, it adds, are listed as "critical".
The other two patches – deemed "important" – are for Windows and Visual Studio, and Windows and Office.
