BMC Software has appointed Nigerian systems integrator, Soft Solutions as a solution provider for its Service Desk Express (SDE) suite. 

Arjen Wiersma, country manager at BMC, says the move follows the company's decision to focus more on resellers in the region.
“Increasing recognition of our leadership position in business service management has encouraged us to broaden our footprint across South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa,” Wiersma says.
“Midsize businesses face many of the same issues as larger enterprises in meeting the needs of both end users and executives, but they must do so with smaller budgets and limited resources.
"Owing to their smaller staffs, they also have a greater need for easy-to-use and easy-to-implement help-desk software and solutions – such as the SDE suite – that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.”
Bolarinwa Abolade, executive director of Soft Solutions, says the suite complements the company's competence in business applications development, implementation andIT infrastructure management.
“We will seek opportunities that allow us to customise the SDE suite into pre-set templates and applications specifically for clients in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, and oil and gas," Abolade says.
