In its first quarterly Critical Patch Update (CPU) of the year, Oracle today released 51 new security patches for its database and server products, and its collaboration and e-business suites.

This is significantly down from the 101 patches it issued in its last CPU in October.
Today's patches address security flaws across its database and server products, and its collaboration and e-business suites.
Of the 26 patches for its databases, 10 could be viewed as having "critical" status. Of the 12 fixes for its Application Server, eight are viewed as "critical. There are also three patches – one "critical – for Oracle's PeopleSoft product.
