For the second consecutive quarter, HP has convincingly beaten Dell in worldwide PC shipments, according to Gartner. 

The research group says that HP was a clear leader in PC sales in Q4 with an increase of 23.9% to 11 687 000 units.
Dell's unit sales declined from 10 284 000 to 9 385 000, or minus 8.7%.
Lenovo secured third spot on Gartner's list with growth of 9.3%, but the biggest growth of the quarter came from fourth-placed Acer – a whopping 33.1%. Toshiba is the fifth recognised contender on with 24.5% growth for the period.
Overall, the PC market grew by 7.4% in Q4.
