Following one of its most successful years, and despite ongoing investigations in the so-called spy scandal, Hewlett-Packard chief executive, Mark Hurd has received an $8.6-million bonus.

This is in addition to his annual salary of $1.4-million.
HP last year finally took over the mantle of the world's biggest technology company from IBM.
Since Hurd took over the CEO role at HP from Carly Fiorina, the company's share price has risen 95%, creating an additional $52-billion in shareholder wealth.
HP's revenues in 2006 were $91,7-billion.
