Océ has launched the VarioPrint Titanium family with a low environmental impact, producing almost no emissions and running very quietly.
“It’s no longer enough to offer high print quality and speed – our customers also demand environmentally-friendly solutions,” says Willie Viljoen, product manager for Océ South Africa’s Digital Document Systems.
In order to meet the stringent requirements of the RoHS Directive, extensive changes were made to the printing system that resulted in it being 20kg lighter than previously. These include a low energy printhead, power and control that comply with upcoming new EnergyStar, a low energy Eximer lamp in the scan unit, new motors and less connectors with 25% fewer wires.
The machine is capable of unattended printing of 20 400 A4 images, stacking of 6 000 sheets (or 24 000 A4 sheets) and continuous production that allows the user to load or remove paper while printing is in progress.
The Océ VarioPrint Titanium has standard input capacity of 10 200 sheets and standard output capacity of 10 500 sheets.
Output options are diverse, including high capacity stacking, bookletmaking, cover binding, perfect binding and punching. In the near future, the Océ VarioPrint Titanium will also be able to offer stapling, tape binding and folding as finishing options.
