Ericsson Enterprise has awarded distribution partner status to Itec SA, making the Sunninghill-based distribution company the second official supplier of its equipment in South Africa.

"Itec was selected because of its highly developed dealer network and large footprint in South Africa, covering all the major regions extensively," says Phillip Strydom, key account manager for Enterprise Business in Ericsson's market unit sub-Saharan Africa (MUSA).
Itec SA can now supply and support the full range of Ericsson Enterprise equipment, such as the MX-ONE Version 3 and the award-winning Contact Centre Solution, Solidus eCare.
"We are delighted to have been awarded distribution partner status," says Philip Perkins, Chief Operations Officer of ITEC South Africa. "It is recognition of our proven track record in the office automation arena and the consistently high levels of service delivery that have won us numerous distributor awards in the last few years."
The company is particularly excited about the release of Version 3 of the MX-ONE IP-PBX solution, he says.
"This latest version of the MX-ONE makes integrated, mobile IP communications a reality for enterprises of all sizes, no matter what infrastructure they currently have. The solution seamlessly handles voice and data applications and combines mobile and fixed functionalities across private and public networks."
