The first face recognition system that runs primarily in TCP/IP, thus integrating seamlessly with corporate LANs, has been launched in South Africa.
RCG Systems SA has launched the RCG FxGuard Pro biometric access control system with face recognition technology, each unit of which is supplied with a built-in infrared sensor and RFID reader as standard.
“It is the most accurate facial identification and verification technology available,” says Mike Cox, operations manager at RCG Systems SA. “The technology is user-friendly and highly intuitive.”
For added security, FxGuard Pro adopts dual-factor authentication, namely right token and right face. The system is suitable for access control at public exhibitions and corporate and government premises.
