Konica Minolta Printing Solutions Europe has appointed printers and parts DIRECT as its third-party maintenance partner in South Africa.

According to Ian Revell, country manager: South Africa at KMPSE, the announcement is in line the company’s resolution to heighten focus on the local marketplace.
“By extending our partner network in South Africa, we can enhance users’ experiences through a premium service and maintenance programme," he says.
“printers and parts DIRECT operates nationally via a large network of trained ‘Authorised Service Partners’,” he explains. “The company will assist with countrywide on-site repairs and maintenance, while its Gauteng-based head office and regional partners offer a wide variety of additional services, including workshop repair facilities.
“From Konica Minolta’s perspective, this means that we can offer users across South Africa with a level of after-sales service to match the quality of our products.”
Once filtered through the Konica Minolta Help-Desk, faults are centrally managed via printers and parts DIRECT’s head office and channeled to the relevant regional Authorised Service Providers. These Authorised Service Providers include IGLA in Cape Town, Leading Printer Repairs in Durban, Printer Parts Direct in Bloemfontein, Simo Solutions in East London and Coredata in Nelspruit , among others.
Neil Van Vuuren, co-founder of printers and parts DIRECT, believes that this process results in simpler logistics and a higher level of service.
