Computer Corporation ties up with Altech Autopage Cellular Franchise IT retailer, Computer Corporation, which currently boasts 25 franchise outlets, has signed a hardware distribution agreement with Altech Autopage Cellular that will see the 150 outlets in the Autopage Cellular chain offering consumers Computer Corporation vouchers when they buy new contracts, phones and accessories, enabling them to redeem the vouchers at any Computer Corporation outlet nationwide.

Jan Minnie, in charge of marketing at Computer Corporation, says the value of the vouchers range from R400.00 to R2 500.00, "depending on the kind of contract, or purchase, the Autopage Cellular customer makes".

He adds that consumers are then entitled to redeem the vouchers at Computer Corporation outlets and "use the voucher to purchase any computer item or accessory – or to assist in paying towards a computer product".

Autopage Cellular is also offering its customers Computer Corporation notebooks and PCs with each contract sold.

The contract, says Minnie, was signed in November last year. "We are seeing sales increasing due to this new agreement, but, with the impact of the critical mass of Autopage's 150 outlets we believe that we are going to see a significant impact on our revenues over the next few months.

"This is certainly a significant partnership for us. We are also opening more outlets during the year, meaning that it will make Computer Corporation more accessible to Autopage Cellular clients.

"In fact, by the end of March at least another four outlets will be opened – in Brakpan, Mokopane, George and Richardsbay. We are planning to open a further 26 stores during the course of this year.

"This will enable us to increase our critical mass substantially and take advantage of agreements like the one struck with Autopage Cellular."

Autopage Cellular voucher holders, he says, have a wide choice of products to choose from at Computer Corporation, including PCs, notebooks, monitors, LCDs, flash memory, data projectors and other accessories such as printers, fax machines, office equipment, digital photography, computer games and computer game accessories.
