Pinnacle has launched a new notebook model to enhance its offering that targets the busy professional who requires high performance at a good cost to power ratio.

Available in two variations and enabled for both the XP and Vista platforms the TW3 range runs both the Intel Core Duo and Core 2 Duo technologies making it the ideal travel companion for the active road warrior.
All working areas of the TW3A desktop are viewable on a 15.4-inch TFT LCD Display, which runs using a dedicated NVIDIA 128Mb VGA Display while the TW3M option is run using Intel GMA 950 Shared VGA.
Francois Lottering, Proline brand manager at Pinnacle Micro says that the Intel Core 2 Duo processor has broken new ground in that its dual-core technology has rewritten the rules of computing, delivering optimised power efficient computing and higher dual-core performance with low power consumption.
"With its two execution cores, the Intel Core 2 Duo processor is optimised for multi-threaded applications and multitasking. Road warriors can simultaneously run multiple demanding applications such as graphics-intensive games or serious programs – while downloading music or running virus-scanning security programs in the background.
"The incorporation of Core 2 Duo has cut down on the amount of time it used to take to perform normal tasks extending the average business day and the productivity offered by users."
He goes on saying that the demand for greater power efficiency in computing is on the rise from desktop to laptop PCs. With an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, users get a balance of great dual-core computing capabilities and power savings.
"Its enhanced voltage efficiency supports cooler and quieter system designs as compared to traditional desktop and laptop PCs. Further, the energy efficient technologies built-in to the system mean that the processor is now able to transfer power only to those areas of the processor that need it, thereby enabling laptops to save power."
The TW3 range incorporates a Dual Format DVDRW drive and offers integrated Bluetooth. Further extending its connectivity options, the TW3 range comes with an inbuilt 56k Modem and 10/100/1000 LAN, and also offers inbuilt Intel 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN.
"As with the entire Proline range, the TW3 has received ISO 9001:2000 quality certification and all products within the range undergo the international WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) program, which tests the machines with a range of peripheral products to ensure that all Microsoft applications and operating systems function correctly," Lottering adds.
