With France-based Schneider Electric in the final stages of bedding down its acquisition of both APC and MGE, there is still no indication about who will head up its local operations.

While at international level a new CEO and several senior vice-presidents have been appointed, an anouncement on who will head up the local operations is only due "within the next couple of weeks."
According to sources, the frontrunner for the position is current MGE head, Rodney Callaghan, but APC's Carl Kleynhans – currently running its Africa operations – has not been ruled out.
APC's South African country manager, Neill Schreiber, is believed to have withdrawn from the race.
