OKI Printing Solutions, locally represented by Printacom, has shipped its one-millionth digital LED colour page printer.

The one-millionth colour printer – the award winning C3400 A4 printer – left OKI Printing Solutions' manufacturing facility in Thailand, which is responsible for 47% of the company's global manufacturing output, last week.
OKI Printing Solutions' one millionth colour printer shipment is a key milestone in the company's aggressive climb to the number two position in the global colour business printer market for 2006; having held the number four position in 2005.
This is due to the company's competitive growth of approximately 20% in the +10ppm segment, year-on-year for the last four years, as well as the global success of such ranges as the C5000 and C6000 Series business colour printers.
Neil Rom, MD of Printacom, says: "Our year-on-year growth which saw us increase our market share by 18% validates our position as a major player in the global market. We are proud to be associated with OKI's success."
In addition to shipping 1-million colour page printers, OKI Printing Solutions has also shipped over seven million mono page printers, 22-million SIDM printers and more than 100-million printer ribbons to date – a significant result given the company focuses solely on providing to businesses.
Mikihiko Maeno, president and CEO of Oki Data Corporation, says: "Shipment of the one millionth colour printer not only marks a significant milestone for OKI Printing Solutions, but signals the beginning of another successful year for our company.
"In 2006 we extended our footprint across Asia and Central America to support a staggering 600% growth in company colour sales in the last three years. This year we look forward to announcing more major expansions that will support this rapid rate of business growth."
OKI Printing Solutions will continue to strengthen its global presence in 2007 through the launch of new colour products founded on the company's High Definition Colour technology.
