IT-Online was unexpectedly brought to its knees today when the company's ADSL connection slowed to the point where it was impossible to load articles for its original 12:00 deadline.

We wish to apologise to our readers, who are now receiving their second IT-Online newsletter of the day – this time with news actually loaded.
So far, our attempts to discover the cause for the problem – which has just as inexplicably resolved itself – have been unsuccessful.
However, with the last 45 minutes spent being shuttled between our service provider, Interprise; the ADSL line supplier Telkom; and the ADSL service provider Internet Solution, we have been assured that there is, in fact, nothing wrong with our connection.
The facts, however, argue differently and we will continue to investigate the situation and hope for some resolution soon.
