HP will produce the HP Compaq dc5700 Small Form Factor Business Desktop PC through its local assembly partner, Matomo Technologies. 

HP’s Advanced Local Configuration (ALC) Programme, which began in 2002, has assembled more than 330 000 HP desktop PCs to date – with a target of 400 000 by the end of the 2007 calendar year.
Following a successful pilot phase, South Africa was selected as the only ALC country to assemble the HP Compaq dc5700 Small Form Factor Desktop PC locally.
“This marks an important milestone for us – and bears testimony to the high standards of local manufacturing. The HP Compaq dc5700 is the ALC Programme’s first desktop PC aimed directly at the corporate market, and we are already seeing significant interest in this model,” says Stefan Minihold, ALC Programme Manager, HP South Africa.

The HP Compaq dc5700 Business Desktop PC combines technology, productivity tools and mainstream security features to cater for the needs of the corporate PC market. Key features include:
