When an employee in Google's New York office lost is python somewhere on the premises last weekend, colleagues thought an appeal to help find it was an April Fool's joke.

When the appeal was repeated on Monday, together with posters of the missing metre-long snake, the search was stepped up. Security staff eventually found the missing pet.
Google is a pet-friendly workplace and has an official dog policy – although staff need permission before bringing other pets to work.
The company, which tops the Fortune list of great places to work, offers a host of staff benefits including free snacks, massages, yoga classes and ski trips.
The python, Kaiser, was brought to the office by his doting owner and kept in a cage.
