The blogging community has come out against proposals to draw up codes of conduct for blogs.

Yesterday Tim O'Reilly, conference promoter and book publisher and Wikipedia creator Jimmy Wales announced their proposed code of condust to shape online discussion.
Thier main concern was to abolish anonymous commest left by visitors; and the ability for blog authors to delete libellous comments without being accused of censorship.
The blogging saga came to a head last month when author Kathy Sierra received death threats following a dispute over whether it was acceptable to delete comments left by visitors to her personal website.
However, bloggers have reacted to draft guidelines, accusing O-Reilly and Wales of disregarding freedom of speech.
