Microsoft is planning its next major product releases in 2010, a year that is rapidly starting to assume prophetic undertones.
New versions of both Windows and Office are already in the works, and the company vows there won't be as big a delay as there was with the Vista launch.
The new version of Office may be the 13th iteration of the personal productivity suite but it's being dubbed Office 14 because of superstition over in Redmond.
The new suite will include suggestions from customers as well as design elements that will put Office at the centre of the digital home as well as the user's online experience.
Windows Home Server will move the concept of the digital home up a notch as it will be easy to install and operate.
