Computex Taipei, one of the world's biggest IT trade fairs, kicked off yesterday with 130 000 visitors expected to visit the 1 333 exhibitors at the Taipei World Trade Centre.
The event runs from 5-9 June.
Computex Taipei is the event that draws together the major Taiwanese brands of Acer, Asus, Foxconn, VIA, FIC, Gigabyte, MSI, ECS, MiTAC, Tatung, CMC, Ritek, Inventec, Realtek, and A-Data.
In addition, this year's show also features international brands like Intel, AMD, Broadcom, TI, Philips, Microsoft, Hitachi, Renesas, Toshiba, Sanyon Denki and Qimonda – vendors from as far afield as the US, Japan, and Europe.
Alongside the show are an executive forum, which outlines IT industry directions; and the CompuForum which features indepth content of interest to industry insiders. More than 40 seminars will be staged at CompuForum.
