Ingram Micro South Africa, a joint venture between Ingram Micro, the largest global technology distributor and MB Technologies has concluded an agreement with BenQ, which will grant the company distribution rights to the entire range of high-quality BenQ components and peripherals.
Manish Bakshi, GM of BenQ for Middle East and Africa says that the availability of the BenQ product line through Ingram Micro is an important milestone for both companies.
"Our resellers as well as our end-customers will benefit from conducting business with an experienced local distributor that has a keen sense of what value-add means," says Bakshi. "MB Technologies has an excellent track record of supplying quality products, backed by strong service commitments. We have complete faith that the same will be true for Ingram Micro South Africa."
Bakshi confirms that BenQ's complete portfolio of products will be available through Ingram Micro on the sub-Saharan African market. "This includes our LCD monitors, LCD TV's, digital cameras, digital projectors, optical drives, keyboards, mice and consumables," he says.
Mark Campbell, chief operating officer for Ingram Micro South Africa says the company is pleased to add BenQ to its already extensive portfolio.
"BenQ offers a wide range of solutions with a worldwide footprint and penetration into all of the markets where it is active. Resellers will benefit from this extension of our portfolio that reflects our company's commitment to offer the broadest range of components, peripherals and accessories to the South African market," he says.
Campbell adds that the market should also 'watch this space' for more announcements. "BenQ is just one of the brands that we have announced and we will be following this up with several other announcements when we open our doors during June," he concludes.
