A Chinese man died when his cellular battery exploded in his shirt pocket.

According to the Xinhua News Agency, the man was a welder at the Yingpan Iron Ore Dressing Plant.
The cellular phone, a Motorola, exploded. The man was taken to hospital but died later from his injuries.
Motorola is working with the Chinese authorities to determine the cause of the accident but believes it is unlikely that the phone is to blame.
