Dell today added a new mobile model to its line of professional workstations.  The Dell Precision M4300 delivers enhanced levels of performance and features in a mobile platform to help engineers, artists, developers and other professionals run business-critical applications wherever they go.

The Precision M4300 is available now to customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at a price of R16 710.00, including VAT, and delivery for a base configuration.
With features such as the latest OpenGL graphics and the newest Intel dual-core processors, next-generation wireless technologies and extended capacity batteries, the Dell Precision M4300 boosts performance by nearly 15%.
“The most important thing to workstation customers is the performance of their specialised applications,” says Ben McDonald, Client Products Brand Manager, Dell South Africa.
“Increasingly, these customers are not in a traditional office but they still require workstation-class performance.  We make it simple for customers by testing and certifying our platforms with the leading workstation-class applications, saving them time and resources.  Our high-performance Dell Precision workstations arrive at the customers’ locations – wherever they are – ready-to-go into the workforce.”
The Precision M4300 includes the following technologies:
* The latest 64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo dual core processors and NVIDIA discrete graphics expected to provide up to 110 percent improvement in graphics intensive applications such as computer aided design and digital content creation.
* Dual channel memory with 36-bit addressing allowing customers to use all 4GB of system memory
* Performance hard drives including solid state and encrypted hard drives providing exceptional speed, reliability and security options
* Featuring next generation 802.11n support, providing up to five times more performance than 802.11g
* Integrated, latest mobile broadband technology allows users to work faster remotely
* Dell TrueLife displays that are up to 10% brighter, for crisper images and helpful for ambient light conditions in the field
* 800 MHz front-side bus provides almost 20% improvement in bus bandwidth, designed to feed the CPU cores with an uninterrupted supply of data; and improve performance of CPU-intensive applications.
Reflecting Dell’s goal to become the greenest technology company, Dell has enhanced its Energy Smart product line-up with select configurations of the Dell Precision M4300 that are Energy Star 4.0 compliant.  This latest expansion to Dell's Energy Smart solutions offering, which debuted in select corporate desktops in September 2006, allows customers to further reduce costs and power consumption across their businesses.  Energy Star is an Environmental Protection Agency specification that calls for more stringent controls over the amount of energy consumed by desktop and notebook systems.
