Channel Data has renewed and extended its partnership with Iron Mountain Digital, a leading provider of data backup/recover and archiving software and services. Channel Data has supplies Iron Mountain technology to the local market since 2004.

Originally Channel Data only supplied Iron Mountain’s Connected Backup for PC solution, but the amended agreement has broadened the scope of the portfolio to include new technologies and delivery mechanisms, including DataDefense, a multi-layered data security solution in addition to data backup and recovery.
The Iron Mountain Connected and DataDefense solutions can be delivered as licensed software for companies who wish to run the solutions in-house but is now also available as a subscription service via its resellers. The new subscription-based service offering is attractively affordable and requires no infrastructure investments from customers.
The two partners have also launched the Iron Mountain Continuity Service for Email (ECS) to the South African market, a service product that will be available via resellers.
“The partnership between Iron Mountain Digital and Channel Data is growing every year. The extension of our agreement is evidence of this. Channel Data can now bring in broader offerings and multiple ways of delivering solutions”, says Mike Hamilton, MD of Channel Data.
