Ho to head up key Microsoft division

Microsoft SA has named its current financial director, Kelvin Ho, as Director of its key Small and Mid-market Solutions & Partners (SMS&P) division.

Ho’s appointment comes at a time that the division will be driving significant growth in line with Microsoft South Africa’s ambitions to double its business by 2010. He will be responsible for demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to maintaining a highly profitable Microsoft partner ecosystem, as well as driving Microsoft’s renewed focus on the small and mid-sized market.
Ho, who has assumed his new position, holds a CA(SA) and an MBA. He has previously worked in senior financial management positions at organisations like Manica, a division of Bidvest, and SAP.
Microsoft MD Pfungwa Serima says he is confident that Ho was the right person to take the SMS&P division to the next level.
“Kelvin has immense insight into the demands, challenges and opportunities of Microsoft’s SMS&P business,” says Serima. “He will add immense value to our senior management, as well as our partners in the channel, and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
