Lexmark South Africa, which has enjoyed solid year-on-year growth in the region over the past few years, has further strengthened its management team with the recruitment of its ex-national sales manager and Xerox's former local channel manager .

Lawrence Sarkin, who quit the IT industry about two years ago to dabble in the investment community, has been appointed by Lexmark as channel account executive. Sarkin re-entered the IT distribution sector earlier this year as a product manager at Axiz, but says the lure of Lexmark proved too great.
"I just couldn't stay away," he says.
Ashley Groenendaal, who resigned as GM: Xerox channel operations at Bytes Document Solutions two months ago, joins Lexmark as corporate account executive.
