Ngena MouldNet, a company specialising in the management of operation turnaround projects within the manufacturing industry, has implemented Post Vision Technology’s Project Portfolio Office (PPO) solution.

The project was undertaken in order to structure project information gathered from several different geographical locations and diverse organisations in a manner that would make the information available to relevant role players within the larger context of programs.
A web-based, enterprise capable application designed, developed and supported in South Africa to assist organisations to manage projects and project portfolios, PPO will also provide greater functionality from a portfolio and program management (PPM) point of view. Ngena MouldNet selected the software for its cost effectiveness, simplicity and ease of use, as well as its Software as a Service (centrally hosted) business model and web-based technical architecture.
Ngena MouldNet plans to roll out PPO’s functionality to all of its project managers, countrywide, within the programs administered by the organisation, such as the Tooling Initiative, where stakeholders including the Department of Trade & Industry, regional and provincial departments of Economic Development, skills service providers, the Tool, Die, Mould (TDM) making industry, automotive, packaging, mining, and other manufacturing sectors will also access the tool.
The objective of the program is to create a turnaround within the TDM Sector as a key strategy for growth and skills development within the manufacturing sector.
The rollout will be handled by information and engineering management consultancy and Post Vision partner, Fourier Approach, which will also take responsibility for the support on PPO and training of additional users within the MouldNet client organisation.
