Pinnacle Micro has announced the local availability of the PR600 notebook from MSI, a notebook that features the latest Intel Centrino duo mobile technology using Intel’s core 2 duo processor and Intel GM965 chipset  – enabling it to deliver dual-core performance computing power.

According to Shaun Welgemoed, Pinnacle Micro’s MSI product manager, the 15,4-inch PR600 also boasts a great battery life and expanded wireless connectivity.
It also features a 15,4-inch ACV widescreen display with 1280 x 800 high resolution, enabling the user to liven up presentations and briefings at work with impressive and vivid colours. It comes with an integrated numeric keypad, the new Santa Rosa Intel platform, as well as 1Gb DDRII memory – with an additional memory slot for upgradeability.
With a hard drive of 120Gb, the PR600 comes standard with Windows Vista Business, Bluetooth, and Gigabit LAN capabilities.
Welgemoed said the unit also comes equipped with a built-in 1,3 mega pixel webcam right on top of the LCD.
“The PR600 let’s the user participate in video conferences wherever he or she goes, or simply enables the recording of highlights as they happen.”
Other application functions include four well-distributed USB 2.0 ports, a four-in-one card reader, IEEE 1394 connecting interface, and a multi-DVD burner. With these tools, says Welgemoed, users can easily edit or save high quality photos and videos.
“This unit is not only a great personal tool, but it is also perfect for business-focused applications.”
