Cyber Detectives becomes Symantec Authorised Technical Assistance partner


Symantec has confirmed its selection of Cyber Detectives, a division of Carrick Holdings, local provider of IT system security, solutions and services, as a member of the Authorised Technical Assistance Partner Program.

The Symantec Authorised Technical Assistance Partner Program is the next level in partnership development and follows the transition from Symantec’s TAPP (Technical Assistance Partner Program) beta program.
Companies or businesses that want to be considered for membership to TAPP are obliged to meet specific criteria.
This falls under the banner of pre-requisite sales and technical requirements and incorporates, amongst others, being a Platinum or Gold level member in the Symantec Partner Program, being able to provide post-sales value-added services via telephone and/or on-site, and being fully aware of case escalation infrastructure, case tracking infrastructure as well as end-user service commitments.
As an official member of TAPP, Cyber Detectives is authorized to add a new dimension to its existing services based on Symantec technology.
“We are now in a position to sell and fully support branded Value-Added Services for Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec Anti-virus – including the Sygate product line – and Symantec Endpoint protection,” says Clint Carrick, CEO at Cyber Detectives.
“This certainly translates to benefits for our target market because we have secured another channel through which to apply our expertise and enable clients to enhance their infrastructure,” he adds.
According to Carrick, being a member of the Symantec TAPP initiative empowers the company with instant access to product & solution roadmaps, training and numerous partner benefits associated with affiliation with Symantec.
These include revenue generated through selling Value-Added Services in addition to the Symantec support and maintenance contract and meeting post-sales service needs, marketing, training and access to Symantec Advanced Level Support Experts.
