SAS has been named a leader in "The Forrester Wave: Business Performance Solutions, Q4 2007" independent report from Forrester Research.

"SAS now has a solid set of BPS offerings that are well integrated on its business intelligence platform, with particular depth in predictive analytic forecasting, cost and profitability management, and industry-specific solutions," writes Paul D Hamerman, vice-president and principal analyst at Forrester. "SAS has stepped up with a robust set of offerings," the report states. SAS had the highest score in R&D/product development strategy.
"The global business environment is ever more competitive and regulated, and organisations are using SAS for performance management to execute strategy," says Augustine Makhoni, product manager: financial intelligence and BPM at SAS Institute South Africa. "By harnessing the powerful analytical capability of SAS organisations can identify, quantify and prioritise improvement opportunities, mitigate threats and measure results across the enterprise, including finance, IT, HR, operations and marketing."
Providing the broadest, deepest offerings for performance management, SAS brings context and direction to business intelligence initiatives and supports a continuous process for improvement. Only SAS builds performance management capabilities into each of its solutions. The SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform extends the value of existing systems while setting the stage for new levels of enterprise intelligence not previously possible.
