22% growth lifts Informatica to record 3Q revenues of $96m

Informatica, a global provider of data integration software, has announced record revenues for its third quarter of $96-million, up 22% from the $78,9-million recorded in the third quarter of 2006.

Licence revenues for the third quarter, ended 30 September, were $41-million, up 22% from the $33,6-million recorded in the third quarter of 2006. Net income for the third quarter was $14,4-million or $0,15 per diluted share, up more than 50% from net income of $9,4-million or $0,10 per diluted share in the third quarter of 2006.
For the nine-month period, revenues were $277,4-million, an increase of 19% from the $232,8-million recorded for the first nine months of 2006. Licence revenues for the first nine months of 2007 were $120,4-million, up 17% from $103,2-million in the first nine months of 2006.
“These record third-quarter revenues, experienced in all major geographic regions, clearly show the value Informatica brings to its customers, and its ability to execute,” says Paul van Aswegen, GM of Informatica South Africa.
“Continual product innovations have advanced Informatica’s competitive position and expanded its opportunities beyond its traditional market.”
Significant milestones achieved since July include:
* Repeat business signed with 194 customers including, DaimlerChrysler, FedEx Freight System, Globe Telecom, PayPal and Paramount Pictures Corporation;
* 53 new customers signed with Informatica that increased its customer base this quarter to 2 909 companies. New customers include Cascade Corporation, China UnionPay, Rand Merchant Bank, Sonic Corporation and Tiger Brands;
* A worldwide partner agreement was signed with Cognos. Cognos will OEM Informatica data quality software in conjunction with its performance management solutions;
* Informatica announced its newest addition to the Informatica On Demand services, Informatica Data Quality Assessment for Salesforce.com, that delivers dynamic scorecards on the quality of data in Salesforce.com implementations;
* Informatica announced the integration pack for Salesforce.com. The integration pack is a limited-use, subscription-based suite of Informatica products that enables integration between salesforce.com and on-premise applications, databases and files;
* Informatica was positioned in the leaders quadrant in the Gartner data integration tools magic quadrant; and
* Informatica earned top rank in the TNS custom research data integration software survey. Informatica data integration products ranked first in overall quality and the company was a top performer in customer satisfaction in the survey.
