Telkom has revised its top management structure to form an executive committee and made a number of new appointments to fill some of the vacant positions in its top echelons.
The new structure will take effect from 1 November.
The new Executive Committee will be led by the CEO, who has overall responsibility for the day to day management of Telkom. The acting CEO is currently Reuben September.
The chief of finance will be responsible for financial reporting, treasury, accounting, procurement and internal audit. Deon Fredericks is acting in this position.
The chief of operations will take responsibility for network infrastructure provisioning, network field operations, network core operations, retail sales and marketing and information operations. Motlatsi Nzeku is in this position.
The chief of global operations and subsidiaries will look after global and local subsidiaries, multinational customers and wholesale sales and marketing operations. This position will be filled by Thami Msimango.
The chief of human resources will assume overall responsibility for human resources management, executive compensation and employee benefits, skills development & talent management, HR strategy and labour relations. Charlotte Mokoena fills this position
The chief of strategy will be responsible for group strategy, corporate business development, marketing development, corporate communications, investor relations and integration strategy. Naas Fourie is currently acting in this position.
The chief of corporate governance takes responsibility for group legal services, regulatory and policy, the Telkom Foundation and group secretarial. This position is filled by Ouma Rasethaba.
