DCC introduces Toshiba notebooks for business power, mobile users

Notebooks have become the order of the day, and testimony to this is the fact that notebooks have overtaken PC sales.

Distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) and Toshiba are delivering a range of notebooks that cater to the needs of every user. The latest addition to this range is the Satellite Pro U300, an ultra-portable notebook that is ideal for the mobile user, and the Tecra A9, the perfect notebook for today's business user that is looking for speed and performance.
Says Dirk Booysen, Toshiba notebook product manager at DCC: "Users, both business and consumer, are no longer satisfied with a limited range of notebooks that offer 'one size fits all' functionality. Whether they are entry-level users or high-flying businesspeople that travel frequently, users of notebooks are becoming more discerning. They want notebooks with specialist features and functionality that allow them to maximize the use of these devices.
"Toshiba's Tecra A9 notebook is designed to meet the needs of the business power user who requires reliability coupled with performance that meets the demands of businesses today. The 15.4-inch widescreen ensures spreadsheets and word documents are easily viewed with little eye-strain and its stable platform provides peace of mind.  The Intel Centrino Duo process technology features 2 MB of cache memory, making this one of the higher performing notebooks around."
The Tecra A9's 160GB hard disk provides ample storage and its slim SelectBay DVD super-multi double layer drive means you can store more on your DVD without worrying about format compatibility. And for those that worry about the knocks and drops that do happen, Toshiba's shock absorption and full three-axis motion monitoring dynamically protects your hard drive.
The Satellite Pro U300 notebook from Toshiba is tailored for the ultra-mobile notebook user and weighs just 1.99 kilograms. A built-in Web cam allows on-the-go users to conduct mobile video conferencing whilst the integrated high quality real-time voice and video calling over IP-based networks ensures you are 'connected' wherever you go.  Further enhancing convenience for mobile users is the Toshiba ConfigFree software that aids easy connectivity wherever you are and captures location-based profiles for greater convenience.
This notebook also features a 160GB hard drive and 2MB cache memory, providing performance at a cost that displays remarkable value for money.
The Satellite Pro U300-116 model retails for approximately R13 599,00 inclusive of V.A.T while the Tecra A9 (P200) retails for approximately R10 899.00 inclusive of VAT. Both are available from major retail outlets.
