AirLive MU-7000AV multimedia player so much more than playback

With AirLive's MU-7000AV Network Multimedia player, users can playback their favourite downloaded files, video and audio, on their TVs in the comfort of their living rooms, whilst travelling or at the office, without having to burn DVDs. This can be achieved through streaming from your PC or alternatively storing the files on a hard drive.

It is also easy to use. There are two options available, either streaming directly from your PC to your TV, or downloading video files directly to the multimedia player. Once the download is complete, turn on the TV and playback the files from the MU-7000AV.
The player also supports various video formats such as Audio Video Interleaved (AVI) including DivX and Xvid, Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG), Digital Audio Tape (DAT) and Video Object File (VOB) plus it can be used as a MP3 player or photo slide show viewer.
"The MU-7000AV is a must-have for all multimedia enthusiasts; the player is packed with user-friendly functionality that truly embraces the proliferation of the digital age," says Riaan Leuschner, MD at Nology, a distributing agent of broadband and networking products.
Apart from its multimedia functionality, the MU-7000AV is also a wired file server with one 3.5" Hard Drive Bay and USB 2.0 port.  Any 3.5" SATA or IDE hard drive can, therefore, be installed and shared on the network.
To access, users can simply use "My Network Places" or even set it as a network drive.
As mentioned, the MU-7000AV has a built-in USB 2.0 slave port which connects directly to a PC.  Once connected the player will act as USB storage – large files can therefore be downloaded at USB 2.0 speed when necessary. Backup is also available with this device and once a multimedia folder is created and specified, a 'one button' backup function automatically executes your backup, ensuring your data is protected.
The player too features a Kid's Lock Function which locks the hard drive partition.  Parents can, therefore, set-up a password to prevent their children from accessing certain files.
And for convenience, the MU-7000AV has a full function remote control, allowing you to operate the device remotely.
