Microsoft's new robotics software is being used to power a new two-legged walking robot.
Japan's ZMP uses a Microsoft Xbox 360 remote to operate the robot, making it walk and kick a ball.
Microsoft Robotics Studio is a relatively new toolkit that can be used to program movements and other robotic applications. It is expected to open up the market in that it will make it easier to transfer technology from one robot to another.
The ZMP robot, dubbed e-novo Walk, will go on sale in January.
