Acer has established itself as South Africa's largest supplier of digital projectors and third-largest projector vendor across the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region, according to the latest market data from Pacific Media Associates.

The company is the number one provider of digital light processing (DLP) projectors in South Africa with a 39,7% market share, as well as the top supplier of entry-level SVGA resolution projectors with a 53,9% share of the market, according to Pacific Media, which specialises in providing information on large-screen display products, markets and manufacturers.
Acer South Africa also holds 35% market share in XGA projectors and is experiencing strong growth within this segment as it increases focus on higher-end projectors for the corporate market.
On the whole, Acer projectors remain the local leaders across all technologies.
Bongani Gumbo, product manager for LCDs and projectors at Acer, comments: "Acer's success in the South African projector market is a result of our focus on offering a complete product range with feature-packed and cost-effective projectors for every market segment – from the home-office and the travelling entrepreneur, to the large business with a big boardroom or auditorium.
"We have also focused on packing innovative technology into our projectors, such as the proprietary ColorBoost Technology which provides amazing colour enhancement for DLP projectors."
Acer ColorBoost, a standard technology in all new Acer DLP projectors, sets a new standard for image quality by providing optimised colour performance for the lifelike pastel shades that are commonly used in applications and images.
