Darren Roos has been appointed as Software AG‘s senior vice-presdient: Middle East Africa, for company’s Enterprise Transaction System (ETS) business.
Roos, 33, has been instrumental in Software AG’s development in South Africa, trebling the growth of the company to over the last three years and growing its list of clients. Customers include three out of the four major local banks and many government departments, all of which use Software AG’s technology in the deployment of mission-critical applications to run their businesses.
“The company has grown off a small base and the market has shown significant growth since the turmoil of the early 2000’s. Tripling the size of the business has been a rewarding challenge for everyone involved," says Roos.
He is optimistic for the company’s future growth. “Our exclusive focus on the business infrastructure software market along with our solid customer commitment places us in a strong position locally."
The completion of the WebMethods merger earlier this year marked a major milestone in establishing Software AG as the world's leading independent provider of business infrastructure software.
The combined company fully capitalises on the unique and complementary strengths of WebMethods and Software AG. Customers now benefit from an expanded product portfolio for managing data, enabling Service-Oriented Architecture and improving business processes.
