Nashua has launched the world’s first double-sided duplicator, giving users the ability to accelerate throughput and relieve pressure on other devices by transferring longer print runs.
The Nashua DX 4640PD boosts productivity by enabling users to print both sides of an A4 page in a single pass at 240 prints per minute. For uninterrupted high volume printing a massive 3000 sheets can be handled via the optional LS3000R large capacity system.
The network-ready DX 4640PD’s flexible paper handling and advanced high quality system prints outstanding quality documents on a wide range of paper stocks up to A3. Coupled with this is its user friendliness and ease of operation, offering the convenience of desktop network printing or easy walk-up access.
“The DX 4640PD relieves the pressure in high volume environments by improving efficiency at a lower cost than other high output multifunctional devices,” says Khekhe Ginindza, product manager at Nashua South Africa.
The system combines advanced master and ink technology with the automatic pressure control to balance ink density. In addition, the flexibility of having spot colour is achieved by adding the optional colour drum units. By adding the optional colour drum units, the DX 4640PD can print at high speed on a variety of paper weights and sizes, plus single-sided A3 printing at an incredible 120 prints per minute. In essence documents such as newsletters, posters, menus, tickets and price lists are further enhanced cost-effectively, quickly at high volume.
The quick-start touch screen provides access to all key functions for ease of operation and the seamless integration into the existing document environment is straightforward with the network-ready DX 4640PD. Nashua’s RPCS printer driver makes printing intuitive.
By simply clicking on an icon, users can print previously saved or common output settings, such as double-sided or two-up, by just using a single command. Moreover, an optional embedded hard disk drive offers a document library for instant recall of frequently used jobs, such as expense forms or letterheads.
In keeping with Nashua’s commitment to the restriction of hazardous substances and environmental preservation, the DX 4640PD’s double-sided printing saves paper and uses less power by printing both sides of a sheet in a single pass. In addition the DX 4640PD also complies with EU environmental legislation, which means no lead, chromium, PVC or cadmium is used during the manufacturing process of this device.
“Our researchers and developers have comfortably outstripped the alternative methods of duplex printing whilst at the same time presented an outstanding product that far exceeds expectations and ensures durability”, concludes Khekhe.
