SAP to the rescue at RAF

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) hopes to improve claim payouts with a R30-million SAP system, which went live earlier this month.

Apparently claims were previously processed manually, while the few processes that were automated weren't integrated.
The troubled RAF, which ran out of money and received a new board in 2005, decided to implement an integrated ERP system.
The new system allows full integration of all processes and is expected to make claim payments more effective.
