Apple has appointed Andrea Jung, chairman and CEO of Avon products, to its board – she is the only woman director and the first in over a decade.

The last woman on the computer maker's board was Katherine Hudson, who resigned with current chairman and CEO Steve obs returned to the company.
Jung is the eighth member of the board and joins noteworthy directors like Al Gore, Eric Schmidt (CEO of Google) and Bill Campbell (chairman of Intuit).
