Space tourism set for take-off

Space tourism could be about to take off with news that Virgin Galactic plans to launch its SpaceShipTwo with passengers before the end of the year.

The new craft, under construction in the Mojave Desert, will be able to carry six passengers and two crew members about 62 miles above the Earth's surface.
The space craft will be carried into the air by a twin fuselage plane, dubbed White Knight Two, and will then seperate.
A spokeman at Virgin Atlantic confirms that the spacecraft is almost 60% complete and will go into testing later on today
