Industry veteran David Terry quits TallyGenicom South Africa today, with Peter Vieira taking over as a director of the printer manufacturer.

Terry set up the South African branch of TallyGenicom just over one year ago, and was responsible for the product line for many years prior to that, both as a distributor and as the brand representative.
Vieira joins the company after a brief stint at APC South Africa where he managed the company's SADC business. He has previously held positions with Motion Business Solutions and Printacom (OKI SA).
"We will be launching several new products across several market segments during Q1 – it will be a busy quarter for the team but we have strong relationships with our partners and customers and we're expecting to see sustained growth in our traditional market share. We are also looking at entering new markets," says Vieira.
"The printer solutions business is a tough one but I believe that TallyGenicom has a range of business products that are varied and quite-solutions focused. This definitely gives us an edge and with product lines like thermal printers and a new range of mono and colour laser units coming down the line, we're in a strong position to grow our market share."
